Recommend: Top 5 World’s Best Marinas

1. Capri, Italy
The isle of the sirens in Homer’s Odyssey, and the former home of Roman emperors, Capri has always been a land of glamor and excess. To moor in one of the 10 super-yacht berths in the marina, it will cost €2,900 per day – making it the most exclusive and expensive marina in the world.

2. Porto Cervo, Sardinia, Italy
Porto Cervo on the Costa Smeralda was developed as a getaway for the rich and famous during the 1960s. Positioned on one of the most stunning coastlines in the Mediterranean and just a stone’s throw away from the La Maddalena Archipelago, the port continues to attract mega-yacht owners from all over the world. The average daily mooring fee for super-yachts is €2,500, and there are 60 berths.

3. Portofino, Liguria, Italy
Originally a small fishing town between Genova and Le Spezia, Portofino has become the sailing destination for Europe’s elite. Access to the tucked away marina is restricted and there are only 6 super-yacht berths priced at €2,350 a day. Situated in the unspoiled Portofino National Park, there is an air of low key sophistication.

4. Ibiza Magna, Ibiza
Ibiza Magna in Eivissa Town is a haven for the rich and the restless. Near to the most stylish nightclubs, casinos and beaches in the Balearic Islands, hedonists pay a hefty fee of €2,300 per day. There are 12 berths for mega-yachts.

5. St Tropez, Cote d’Azur, France
Situated in the heart of the French Riviera, places in the St Tropez Marina are highly coveted and cost €1,300 per day. There are 30 berths, and celebrities, socialites and the ultra-chic rub shoulders here every summer.
